Can Women Cut Their Hair?

It is impermissible for Muslim women to cut their hair. There are a few
reasons for such impermissibility. Firstly, when Shaytaan was expelled
from Jannah, he swore to Allah that he would mislead mankind and
that he would command them to alter the creation of Allah.1
In Arabic
such alteration is often referred to as taghyeer li-khalqillah. The reason
for the impermissibility of women cutting their hair is that it falls under
taghyeer li-khalqillah
